Celestial Landscapes

Our first collective exhibition of photographs, with original pictures taken by our members, is having excellent success. This is 40 shots of astronomical subjects, from the solar system to galaxies at events such as comets and eclipses. The exhibition was divided into two phases separate from September 28 to October 3 and October 26 to 11 November. The first phase was completed with good success.

Now we're starting with the second part of the exhibition will be inaugurated Friday, October 26th at 21:30 at the Conference Hall of the Great House Cultural Center, Via Togliatti, Rozzano (MI). For this second FASA there is a large influx of students from various schools (from elementary to high school) and the countries of Rozzano litrofi, which will be accompanied by a rapporteur who will present our images through a beautiful journey through "Celestial Landscapes."

The exhibition is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 18. All participants will be donated a copy of an image in 13x19 format of the show.

schools, associations and groups can book a guided tour by calling: 380-3124156.

Admission is free.
update after show:
The show was a success unexpected given also the lack of publicity that has been made:
more than 250 people have visited, about 650 pupils and 43 teachers of primary schools, middle and high schools, but also from Rozzano Basingstoke, Casorate First, Gratosoglio and Opera. For a total of about a thousand people, most of which were able to visit the exhibition accompanied by Our Mario Cellentani which held nearly a hundred guided tours (free). All were given at least one photograph in 13x19 format which repeated a subject in the show. At the end we have distributed nearly 1500 photographs, a sign that the initiative has had considerable success. Certainly repeat the experience enriching the exhibition which, remember, and 'can also lead to other towns that we request them.

Moon occult Saturn

Last night there was an occultation of Saturn by the Moon.
This is not a very frequent event for which the moon, which has an orbital velocity different from the planets and the celestial sphere, "covers" (hidden) perspective is that a planet is to find aligned with the Moon and Earth. In this case it was Saturn.
We found ourselves at the bottom because of the Volunteer in Rozzano, now half of several astronomical events that do not require a very dark sky.
Several onlookers joined us, accompanied by their children for whom the experience was entusiasmente. We have covered letterelmente flurry of questions!
We had a telescope available for Visually observe the event, while other instruments the Moon resumed with the camera and a webcam.
put online soon some images.

Evening Eclipse di Luna

Yesterday (April 5) was held on the evening dedicated to the image guide for Total Lunar Eclipse on 3 March.

Five speakers (Vito, Pio, Angelo, Michael and Nicholas) took turns telling and showing pictures cattuarate the night of the event.

An attentive public has asked many technical questions relating to the methodologies used to take pictures. There were moments of hilarity thanks to the "jokes" by Angelo and Pio.

So it was a beautiful evening of amateurs who think it is was appreciated by the general public in the audience.

To complete the beautiful evening were the desserts prepared by our Graziana to celebrate Easter.

Hello and see you soon!

Letter Asking To Be Reinstated On Employment List

Piero Mazza Rozzano

I can not find words to describe the conference last night that was a page of high and pure amateurs. Our host, Peter Mazza, has been with us for an hour (and then for three quarters of an hour of questions) in his stories of amateur reaching, in my opinion, a level of emotional involvement is also very significant. Emotion of the first steps in this fantastic world in which everyone, so maybe a bit 'different it is recognized that the discovery of two supernovae, to the disappointment of missing discoveries sometimes for a few hours ...
But on the whole the desire and tireless enthusiasm for the observation of the starry sky and the wonders that you hide.

Thanks Maestro Mazza ...
