This book tells 65 stories of people and companies, describes the land and 37 water and 71 traditional recipes, in a journey that 9 municipalities across the Lower Piacenza. The territory is which in medieval times was known as the Committee Aucense, the Renaissance was Pallavicino State and twenty-first century has become Terre Traverse.
Along this strip of land east of the province of Piacenza has developed the Road of the flavors of the Lower Po and Piacenza and the stories are told here are people and companies participating in these two projects to promote the territory.
is a journey, in its short extension, long in the emotions and surprises that, for a closer look, they reveal unexpected. Farmhouses and barns converted into houses of memory, the simple peasant life but full of wit and humanity. Foods with deep roots in ancient cultures in which these lands are contaminated and food products that derive their status from a generous and fertile land. All around a uniform landscape, but never equal to itself, which finds its border in the Po, which here seems to not want to ever go away, as it is twisted in the bends.
