So many people look for happiness in the passions, says Allah (glory be to Him the Most High) in their case, verse 23, sura 45:
"Did not you see the one who takes his passions deity? Allah knowingly alienates them, seals his hearing and his heart and put a veil over his eyes. Who will lead after Allah (has diverted)? "
From here we can understand the deviation of some scholars. It 's also the sign of the behavior of modern civilization.
